Sacramento Pipeworks Climbing and Fitness: Fun for All
Whether you're looking for something interesting to do on an uneventful evening or are a seasoned rock climber, Sacramento Pipeworks is the perfect destination for fun and exercise. This massive facility offers both tethered and freestyle climbing boulders and walls-- some of which are several stories high.
If you've ever wanted to learn the sport of rock climbing, Pipeworks makes it ultra-simple. Start off with a beginners class, where participants work their ways up walls that are straight up and down, and graduate to a more advanced class, where students climb almost-upside-down inclines. Whatever your skill level, Pipeworks has a class for you.
The impressive facility offers a 40-foot tall lead wall, more than 11,000 feet of climbing terrain, 2,000 feet of bouldering and more than 70 lead ropes and harnesses. There is more than enough room for everyone at Pipeworks.
If rock climbing really isn't your thing, don't rule out Pipeworks for exercise fun. A huge cardio room and a resistance (weight) training room is also on-site for those looking to bulk-up or slim-down. Performance cycling, yoga, pilates, sports conditioning and abs & core classes are available for those looking for a bit of guidance and inspiration.
A retail store is on site for guests to purchase apparel, equipment, energy bars and drinks. Wi-Fi internet is available for those wanting to take a quick break from the climbing terrain, too.
Ticket prices for the climbing center are $18 for an evening pass on weekdays (after 3 p.m.) or all day on weekends; $12 for weekdays open to 3 p.m.; $12 for kids 14 and under (any time); $100 for a one month pass or $160 for ten separate sessions. Monthly memberships is also available. Monthly membership prices are $62 per month plus a one-time $100 initiation charge.
