The L Wine Lounge and Urban Kitchen Serves Up Trendy Drinks and Fresh Fare
The L Wine Lounge and Urban Kitchen might very well be one of Sacramento's trendiest spots-- and there's no question why. The atmosphere is chic yet intimate-- the ideal place for a meetup with good friends, coworkers or family members.
The wine is the meat of L's operation. So meaty, in fact, that L's wine list is easily ten-times the size of its food menu. If wine is your vice, there is no doubt that L Wine Lounge is the perfect place for you. Best selling by-the-glass varietals include the Pyramid Valley New Zealand Riesling, Patz and Hall Russian River Valley Chardonnay, Calera Central Coast Pinot Noir, Todd Taylor Shenandoah Valley Zinfandel, and a Cabernet/Merlot blend by Ramey "Claret" from the Napa Valley. Hot bottles include Alpha Omega Sauvignon Blanc from the Napa Valley, Jean Marc Brocard Montee de Tonerre 1er Cru French Chablis, and Louis Boillot Gevery-Chamertin French Red Burgundy.
If you'd rather relax with a beer in hand, you won't be disappointed by The L Wine Lounge's list of brews. Lost Coast Great White Ale and Trumer Pilsner are two of the on-tap varieties, while bottled favorites like Duvel Golden Ale, Young's Double Chocolate Stout, Deschutes Mirror Pond Pale Ale and Paulaner Hefeweizer are also available.
The bar at The L Wine Lounge also serves some mean cocktails. Don't miss the signature L Martini-- it's a decadent blend of Copper Pot vodka, white wine aperitif, sparkling bubbly and sweet L syrup. Other great cocktails include the Julep, which is made with Texas vodka, ginger and peppercorn, and the Paloma-- a mixture of blue agave tequila, grapefruit juice and lemon-lime soda.
Pair your drink choice with one of the kitchen's delicious shared plates, small plates or entrees. Try the Dungeoness Crab and Prosciutto Fritters, Brown Butter Gnudi with petite carrots, Chervil and Hazelnut Picada or the L Burger with Manchego and frites.
Dress is business casual and reservations aren't required unless you'll be dining with a large group.
