Revolution Wines: Vine to Glass Varietals

Articles RSS Feed Share
Mar 4, 2010

Revolution Wine, a full-service vine-to-bottle winery and tasting room, is located on P Street in downtown Sacramento. After receiving all kinds of varieties of fresh grapes from local vineyards, Revolution Wine presses them, ferments the juices and ages the wine in oak barrels on-site. Wine certainly doesn't get any fresher than that!

While Revolution isn't a wine bar, it does have a hugely-popular tasting room that patrons flock to on a daily basis. Wine tastings are open to the public from 1 to 9 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, and from 1 to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Tastings are available by appointment only on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

In addition to tasting the wine, Revolution offers a full line of varietals available for purchase by the bottle. Revolution's varietals include favorites like Grenache, Cabernet, Zinfandel, Pinot Grigio and Full Moon Rose. If you can't find your favorite kind of wine, Revolution Wines even allows you to create your very own barrel while learning the delicate trade of winemaking. If you don't feel like making the wine, just let the professionals know. They'll gladly create your favorite flavor at your request.

If you've got a wine-lover in the family, you may want to consider throwing them a memorable birthday bash at Revolution. The 1000 square foot tasting room can host up to 80 guests, and is also perfect for business parties and fund raisers as well. For more information on Revolution Wines event space, click here.

The Revolution Wine Club is an excellent way to sample the winery's ever-changing wine menu. Members enjoy benefits like quarterly wine deliveries, VIP access to limited-supply varietals, free wine for the member plus four guests, event rental discounts, an invitation to the annual winemaker dinner and a 20% discount on purchases in the tasting room at all times. For more information on the club, click here.

The Revolution Winery is moving from P Street to S Street this summer. For more information on the winery, visit the Revolution Wines website.
